Hi there,
looking to upgrade the interior on my Saab 9-3 from velour to leather and get the heated seats in as well, does anyone have any experience of doing this? or breakers to recommend?

also, can you install seats from the rest of the range? or are they all different mountings, wiring etc?

thanks!

Swapped the cloth to half leather in my 9-3. Easy enough job, just a raft of hex head bolts.

They're not heated so I'm not sure if the loom/relay is already there or if you'd need to add it it.

I got that one from eBay. Did mean a trip from Brighton to Liverpool but the price more than made up for it. I also changed the wood effect dash for the carbon effect one as well (but that's a pig of a job) and the standard steering wheel for an Aero one.

I prefer the half leather (from the latter diesel models) as I find the full leather seats a touch slidey when pushing on. Also they're not as cold as full leather.

Mine are the half leather heated seats and they are nice (2002 TDI), not sure how common the heated seat option was, I seem to remember it was a bit pricey.

Try Simply Saab in Bristol, they have been able to supply me with second hand bits and pieces.
