faster than a porsche -that old chestnut

Sorry if a repost.
Jeremy Clarkson claimed 40-70 was quicker than a 911 turbo (2:35). http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NrAjcWxKtnI
Wikipedia suggests 50-75 is quicker than a Carrera 4S http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_9-5
So is there any truth in this?
I doubt the wiki claim because my Aero bounces off the limiter in 2nd at about 69mph. Surely the auto isn't quicker?
Well?

If your taking an Aero to the limiter you're wasting time by staying too long in a gear so will be slower....Anyway, the old faster than a Porsche goes back to the first days of the 9000 Aero, NOT the 9-5 Aero.
Porsche's have moved on a bit since 1993....the Aero hasn't.

Weaving around behind me - maybe to keep his tyres warm - so I dropped it to 2nd as we came out of a 30 onto a NSL dual carriage way - it was even more satisfying as I'd only got it back after 3 days in the garage having some remedial work, service and MOT done.
