noticed something quite odd, i have for the better part of last few weeks been putting in v-power. the last 2 tank fulls have been regular stuff due to not being near a shell station, now i'm not 100% sure but i'm pretty certain the engine feels alot more smoother with v-power (at the sub 1500rpm range), and more importantly slightly better mpg. i can't say for sure until i go back to v-power.

any one here with experience of using v-power over regular 95 fuel in the 2.0T or 2.8T?

cheers

V-Power will certainley have that effect in the 2.0T as it's Trionic........not so sure about the 2.8 as it's not Trionic.

I only use V-Power for this reason in my 9-5 Aero.

Tesco's 99RON seems to agree with my Aero.

95ron renders my aero a lame duck. Kills the boost.

Thanks for the replies, from what i have read the 2.8 runs the Bosch Motronic ECU. I have read that the engine supports a knock sensor that can handle fuel from 91ron.

still not put in v-power but i'm now certain that 95ron makes the engine feel lumpy. i can't comment on any performance difference as i haven't really driven it enough to test it.

car run so much better with v-power.. no lumpy acceleration and feels so much more eager to accelerate from idle. mpg seems slightly better also.
