1.9 V's 2.2 Deisel on 9-5

Had a 2.2TiD until a few months ago, only lasted 4 months in my ownership.
Was noisy, crude, underpowered and stunk. But, if you have the auto, the 2.2TiD is better than the 1.9, unless you have a Hirsh upgrade, the torque low down is loads better.
Also, the 1.9 is a Fiat sourced engine, the 2.2 gm/vauxhall. Which would you trust???
Remember, the 9-5 is a heavy old car, lots to lug around through the fronts. But even the 2.2 would spin the wheels in 2nd, trying to wrestle with all that torque. Still hated it though!
And the 2.2 is not really tunable, the fuel pump is too sensitive to pressure fluctuations, the 1.9 can be tweaked a little more easily.
