9-3 2.8T Hirsch estate
Discussion
Hello Saab Forum!
Picked up my new car to replace the focus diesel and i have to say i'm impressed!
I have noticed that the car has a full Hirsch upgrade (exhaust, brakes, suspension, pedals and chip) which is rather nice
the suspension makes a difference to the normal aero set up, alittle more give on small bumps but yet alittle more confidence in the corners when pressing on.
The brakes are alittle more corse in feel but actually provide a nice progressive pedal feel.
Exhaust provides a nice deep sound to the engine and isn't intrusive in general driving.
The remap is lovely, the extra torque on the motorway really does make for devasting overtaking ability, the extra torque and power gives the impression of turbo lag compared to the regular 2.8T when going through the revs, but this isn't the case as the upgrade seems to give you a moment before the extra torque is relased. nicely done imho
and i supposed the most important issue in the MPG crazy world we live in, i am easily getting mid 30s (36.4mpg according to trip) on a run. but this is taking it fairly easy and flowing with the traffic and not booting it everywhere! i'm sure i could better that by driving in eco mode. fuel consumption is impressive considering the power on tap. on a side note the MPG seems considerably better than the ST220 i used to own.
