My front tyres will shortly need replacing on my 9-3 (225/45/17 - 94W)

There are some good recommendations on this thread : http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Anyone got any others or links to on-line companies?
My car has been remapped so I'm looking at something that will wear (is that the right word?) well.

Cheers

I replied to that thread.

I've got Toyo Proxes T1R on my 95 aero and there is no discernable difference from the conti 2's they replaced. The wear rating is the same too so should rub em out any quicker.

I'm sticking with em for the price....should be 90-95 quid each, fitted.

I'm glad you've said Toyos. I had a supercharged MX-5 with Toyos on and they were superb.

Put four new Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics on my 9-5 Aero last month.

Now that they are bedded in I'm very happy with them.

Always used Toyos on my 9-5 and 9-5 Aeros. Cheap as chips, excellent handling, and to my ears somewhat quieter than the usual Goodyear / Bridgestone options too.

Why?

Toyos are just as good but cheaper.

Whatever you go for don't just look at the prices online.

Some of the small independents around me are often cheaper than the internet companies for certain tyres.

My Goodyears were £99 fitted which at the time was quite a bit less than online companies were asking.
