well my exhaust has a slightly deteroated back box and a blowing mid section so i thought it might be a good idea to get an aftermarket one to replace with, the trouble is i dont know who makes the best ones for them and where to get one from, any advice would be appreciated.

Well, you are kind of restricted in terms of availability to 3 real performance ones.

Aluminised steel from JT (Swedish made)
Stainless steel from Ferrita (Swedish made)
Stainless steel from Abbott Racing in the UK.

The JT and Ferrita are available from Elkparts, and the Abbott direct from Abbott Racing.

Have a JT on my 900, sounds fantastic, good build, and cheap. Abbott will be very expensive for what it is but probably decent quality.

Actually, no, the Abbott System is actually very good value, when compare to the stainless steel Ferrita system which is very nice but very expensive.

I had a full JT system on my old 9000 Aero and was very pleased with it, although I have to say I don't like the new tailpipe on the current JT system for the 9-5 whichis why I wouldn't have one on my 9-5 Aero.

I have a JT (3" with sports cat). APT Saab who fitted it tell me they have been fitting them for years and haven't had one go yet.
