Just a quick question since the mrs' mothers N reg Saab 9000 has gone fubar. Is it hydraulic or cable? And is there any known faults with it

It's hydraulic. WQrst nightmare is a fault with the slave cylinder as it's a concentric unit, fitted around the shaft. To get to it the gearbox has to be removed! Another fault is the supply pipe from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder leaking on the flexi hose section just above the bell housing. Easy to fix but can be a pain if you don't have an easibleed in your toolbox.
