Tenp sensor. Where?

Can anyone tell me where to look for the water temp sensor? The temp gauge comes off the stop when you switch on but does not rise after that. The fans seem to work ok, by which I mean they cut in & out so I am hoping that it is just a duff connection or the sensor rather than the gauge.

It's (I think) right by the thermostat housing (They are there on the GM900 - I've not had cause to look at the 93 o0ne yet!) - I'd change the thermostat too while you are at it - the sensors are expensive from Saab - you can get one cheap from The Workshop (Saab Specialists) Ltd - Parts no: 01179 406151
