My local dealer is still waiting to get one so I've not seen this beast in the flesh yet.

Looks pretty good on paper and just wondered if anybody has had the experience yet?

There is a review of this in the Telegraph today, should be on the web site later, didn't realise that a Saab engineer developed the electronic dif system in 1980 eek and sold the patent to Haldex who developed the system on, so we could have had 4wd Saabs back in the early 80's, that is if they had the money to invest. Impressive performance 0-60 in 5.4 secs, but they complain that the ride is too firm, and the chassis old rolleyes

Bizarre comments again from the genius that is motoring hackery. A car that will drive through a slalom course quicker then a Porsche 997 turbo, but hey lets ignore that and give everyone the impression that its pants because the basic floor pan etc. of the car is a few years old.

All the indicators are that this car has amazing capabilities. Is it to little to late for Saab?

More worrying for me is the comments I read elsewhere about the steering being numb. This is how I feel about the normal 9-3's so that enough would really put me of because I don't care for fast but dull cars. As usual though have to have a go for myself to get a feel for it and this is the only product in the range interesting me at the moment. Never trust what motoring hacks say IMHO.

Could be a great bargain in a couple of years if Saabs usual residuals are any indicator.

I havent actually driven one (had the chance but was busy with other things...) but have been able to check one out closely and hear them running. They sound fantastic at tick over and under power, certainly a car to make you turn your head. All people I know who have driven them have been impressed.

Arnt they all sold?

Said there were something like 500 allocated to the UK market, so I wouldn't be suprised.
