from my brothers Saab 9-5, all signs point to the cam chain snapping, which is a shame because it had FSH etc so its just down to bad luck really, still it was a cheap run around so not the end of the world, if anyone needs a 9-5 for any parts (bar the engine) then let me know.

it had 161k on the clock, not by any means the highest ive seen out of a Saab, it is rather annoying but unfortunatly just one of those things.

its in surrey, 2 litre eco power turbo in dark blue, has climate etc but not leather so i dont think its an SE, everything else on the car is fine and it was running well before the cam chain gave way.

I would only really need the sun-visor flaps, the drivers door electric window actuautor (sp?) (maybe motor as I was in there) and the SID. I presume he wants someone to take the entire car of his hands, rather than him break it and sell it for parts (or me come and take the bits I want) ?.

to tell the truth i think thats what he would prefer, as we live on a private estate with delusions of granduer and they moan if a car doesnt have tax, yet alone if its ben taken to bits!!, its met its reserve on e bay now which wasnt very high but if your in need of the sun visors i could probably get away with pulling them off if you wanted them?.

yes please, the flaps covering the vanity mirrors are missing in mine, so each time I use them I end up with a really distracting mirror infront of me.

thanks
