Recommendation for Saab independent in Kent area

Ok my girlfriends Saab 9-5 eco turbo estate 2000 w reg has been diagnoesd as having worn timing chain at our local Saab dealer. She brought the car with out a full service history so claiming it on the extended engine warranty is a no no. The dealer has informed us that will not replace just the timing chains gears adjuster etc etc, they will only fit a complete new engine at a cost of 4800 pounds.
Obviously the cars not worth spend that amount of money for a new engine, So can anyone here recommend a Saab independent in or around the kent please, that would just fit a new timming chain kit and do a sump and oil strainer sludge clean on the engine.
Any help would be gratefully recieved

Try B&D Specialist Cars in Hythe. You will get an honest opinion from them and Dave is a SAAB trained engineer.

With my recent experience of authorised Saab dealers I have no doubt that B&D will provide an infinitely superior level of service/care at a small fraction of the cost.

Whilst you're there pop down to the beach and you can meet the other Dave...our local dolphin.

You don't say where in Kent you are. If you are prepared to travel to Eastbourne ( not that far from some parts of Kent ) I would try Bourne Motors.
Small independent specialist. Very helpful, good service, don't charge the earth, and often have second hand parts which also keeps the cost down.
