Wining noise, wheel bearing?

The 9-5 has now got a winning noise that comes in at 40 and gets louder and lower in pitch the faster you go. We've had the wheels balanced and the tyres are new, alloys have also been checked and arnt warped, tracking is fine as well.

Any ideas? Cheers

its not wheel bearings

my car had the same noise but i fixed it at the garage, have to try and remember what was wrong with it...............hmmmmmmm........could be the start of the water pump going?

Cheers for the reply, yes the water pump did go, was replaced and noise didnt stop
It turned out the back wheels needed counter-balancing.
