93 'dump valve'
Discussion
I have an 05 93 Aero, that the previous owner had re maped and a modified / noisy dump valve fitted. Now that the sun is shining and I have the roof down, the noise is driving me mad.
The people who did the re map say the dump valve won't effect their modifications.
The local Saab garage has the original dump valve and is willing to swap it back for me.
Has anyone any experience of this to confirm that it doesn't effect the bhp, the Saab garage say it won't.
If it doesn't, what is the point of fitting a noisy dump valve (or an I 20 years too old to appreciate the benifit)?
Thanks to anyone who can help.
Regards
John

Yeah, plus to that the noisey dump valves sound chavvy, and you might as well finish the job off and get some t(w)at lights for your window washers! LOL
The recurculating valves are better for the turbo. The atmoshere ones are not as good because they adversley affect the crankcase pressure when they vent. Simply put, the only reason why people buy the atomsphere ones is to draw attention to themselves.
