The Niggly Bits
Discussion
Ok.
Overall I am really pleased with my SE Turbo Coupe Talladega. Its fast, comfortable and different looking from the rest. However after a couple of weeks ownership I have descovered a few niggly issues.
1.) The Radio aerial has a dent in one of the sections, stopping it from retracting fully
2.) The cables on the seats for some reason are very slack, and wont undo the seats so passengers can get in the back. Currently the only way to get into the back is to manually press the catches forward at the base of the seat to fold it forward.
3.) The headlamp washers, one wasnt working, and the other was washing the bumper instead of the headlight.
4.) Someone must of had the centre console out of the car at one point, becouse it was all loose and ill-fitted. Something that i did not notice when i looked at the car.
5.) The SAAB bonnet badge has lost all the enamel on it.
So far I have......
1) Repaired the broken headlight washer, just needed a bit of soldering done inside the motor gearbox, and re-positioned the other headlight wiper to atcually wipe the headlight!
2) Dismantled the center console, inspected and reinstsalled it properly. It all fits nicely now and doesnt fall apart when you try to lift the cubby hole cover anymore!
Things stil to do....
Dismantle the seats, and reposition/replace the fold cables
replace radio aerial
get new bonnet badge.
I am acutally enjoying tinkering with this car, and everying is so easy to dismantle. She's getting there, she is in very good condition, but not perfect. We'll get the old girl backup to standard!
lol
