I've posted something similar on the various Saab fora, but I'd welcome that distinctive PH view on this:

I have an '02 9-3 Aero HOT Convertible (Auto)

I'm an enthusiastic driver but not a nutcase. The car is now out of extended warranty and I fancy sharpening it up a bit... But I still want it to be a reliable daily driver (I'm a low mileage driver - say 8,000 or so miles per year) so don't want to go completely berserk...

I'm aware of the need to improve the suspension, rack clamp etc but would also like more power (of course). I've got a small "ship coming in" soon, so I'd estimate a budget of £2,500 as a (keep it sensible Prof!) max.

So, what do I do - in what priority order - and whose bits and tuning do I use?

All opinions very welcome please?

(Forgot to say - I'm running on Saab 17" alloys with Michelin Pilot Sports)

Viggen Rescue Kit (ARB, steering brace, bushes) or equivalent from speedparts or elkparts.

Maybe consider new shocks/springs but be very wary of destroying the ride.

Only then consider power IMHO.

Have a chat with John @ WMSS, he will be able to give you some decent advice.
