Hi. My saab has broken down yet again, i think this could be 10th time in as many months.

this time the fuel pump broke, i was in countryside and had to walk 2 hours in rain to nearest phonebox, at 11pm sunday night, anyway garage quoted me 313£ for a new pump, plus labour, looking at a bill of £550. got the part myself for £50 instead and having it fixed on Monday. However i could purchase the fuel tank too, and i was wondering what i should offer him, how much are new fuel tanks for ng900?

thanks
k

I'm sorry to hear you have had so much trouble with this car. I'd like to know more about it, because your experience just doesn't match up to those of the Saab Owners Club members I know who have NG900's, all of whom have found them pretty reliable beasts.

Regarding the fuel tank - do you have any reason think you will ever need one? It's not a minor task changing one as far as I can see...

If you want to price up used tanks, Hagstrom Saab are seller of used/refurb parts - have a look at their on-line list...

Yep, Saab parts are very expensive, no doubt about that! That's what Saab Central etc are for - thanks god they exist!
