im sick of 95 engines and turbos
Discussion
i keep replacing engines and turbos on 95s and could not repair a damaged 2.3 lpt 99my 9-5 due to lack of parts.
so finally decided to use the old faithfull 2.0 full turbo from 95my 900 i had with 200k on it.
used 900 bottom end ,95 head ,900 turbo ,900 head gasket ,9000 boost pipes
replaced timing chain and bottom end shells and shes a winner
drives just like the old dog should and even done some miles now with the combo!
i know its not the most high tech engineering to hit these pages but shes out there.
done a few engines like this know but never used the turbo.
any way there you go
cheers rik

T7 (9-5, late 9-3) head plus B234L/R short engine = best of both worlds. Can take a fair bit of stick too .
I've got a T7 head on my classic 900 B202 engine (w/Cossie pistons and piston oil cooling jets) and ol' faithful T3 blower (360 degree thrust bearings, stock turbine, compressor looks like a trim 55 as per Sierra Cosworth but with 'angled' blades to aid high rpm flow at the cost of some (excess) midrange torque). Can take a beating on track without breaking into a sweat and revs like you wouldn't believe -the 7.2K limiter always comes sooner than you expect...
The GT17s of the 9-5 seem to be more than a bit temperamental indeed. Thank the Troll Gods they also make them with a TD04HL15T...

I have one just like this
goes really well
easy to fit
stuck a new gt17 on (they are really cheap)
jobs a good un
got great pick up (its an auto with a maptun stage 1)
it was hard finding a suitable 234 doner block tho...
sounds cool guys
