Hi Folks,

Picking up my second 9-5 Aero in a few days and just wondered one small thing.
The timing chain on these, does it have a particular change time, or is at as when its showing wear.

No particular time, change of chain and pulleys only needed when they have worn and start rattling......if looked after this really is well in excess of 150k mileage range, if that even.

Had my old 9-5 2.0t auto done at 70,000 miles though. Quite an expensive job too. Got mine done for £850 at a place that has now gone bust. Believe that autos need doing earlier than manuals, but after that, caveat emptor.

My 9-5 2.3LPT Auto is on 141k and never had the timing chain done (aux belts twice though!). It rattles a little but has not got worse in last 40k miles
