Have recently entered the world of Saab ownership having purchased a 9-5 Aero Estate from Just Saab in Farnborough/Aldershot.

First impressions - slightly odd gearbox (a bit indecisive/sloppy), coming from a 3 series auto or an elise to the manual saab is a bit of a change but will be fine once I'm used to it. Other than that, absolutely no complaints, very comfortable, very quick and a lot of car for the money. Should make it on to the Barge Bargains thread in my opinion...

Should also add - Fantastic service from the team at Just Saab, would highly recommend if any of you need a new car.

That's why most people buy the auto version..........
The Asin-Warner auto is sooooooo much better than the agricultrual feeling manual, especially if it's the 5-speed auto version from MY02 onwards.

But it's still a slushomatic.

Don't knock it till you've lived with it......I was a confirmed manual addict until doing a back-to-back test of a manual Aero and Sentronic Aero.
Had a day's test drives booked, half a day with an auto and half with the manual. Spent the first half with the auto, and swopped to the manual, which I took back within 15 mins.....
