V6 Diesel - Auto?

Am thinking of purchasing a Saab 9-5 estate with the V6 diesel engine. Do these come with the automatic gearbox?

I've done a search on Auto Trader and all the estate V6D's have the manual box. I'm sure I've seen the saloons with the auto box.

There are plenty of the 2.2 TiD's with the auto box but this engine seems to get poor reviews (compared to the later 1.9 which is outside my budget). Is the 2.2 really that bad?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

For the 9-5 the V6 diesel only ever got a manual box, which is odd, as the Vecra with same engine has either option.
The 2.2 4 pot was avilable with either box.
