Hi Guys,
I am looking for any general info/ownership experiences on the 9-5.
I've got a friend who is considering a T-Reg 2.0 litre turbo auto with 73,000 mile on the clock. It has FSH and 11 mths tax and the ad says it's in good condition. The price is £3,500 which sounds fair to me.
I was just wondering how if there are any particular issues with them or whether they are fairly bullet proof? Any info of general running costs, fuel mileage also much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim

My Dad had 2 as company cars.
Not brilliant on fuel but not bad either (his 2.3t would return over 35mpg if driven sedatly)
Only problem he had was the rear shocks which were replaced under warranty and the SID which again was replaced (lost pixels)
The SID is a DIY fix by all accounts.
Good cars, not brilliant around corners but as a relaxed motorway cruiser they are difficult to beat

Biggest single problem with the 9-5 is the oil sludge issue.
Easily fixed, just get the sump dropped and cleaned, and pcv system refreshed, about 2 hours labour and £40 in bits to get done.
