Looking for a good estate...9-3 Aero Sportswagon?

I'm looking for a new car (estate) and have been considering an Audi Avant S-line Quattro or BMW 330 Sport touring. But, passed a Saab garage yesterday and the 9-3 Sportwagon caught my eye. I'm going to take a closer look tomorrow but anyone have any views - Audi vs. BMW vs. Saab? What are Saab residual values like? Build quality? Sporting prowess? Better value that the germans?

Car is simply for transporting the family. Am lookng for a nearly new with plenty of goodies inc. Sat Nav, sun roof, full leather etc.

Great looking car - but my experience of the 9-3 was one of huge disappointment. The cars look classy, but close inspection reveals poor quality of build for the interior. They don't make cars how they used to.

My dad's 9-3sc seems well put together on the inside (apart from the cupholder) if a little plasticky, but then I am used to a 30 year old interior design

Rather like the look of the 9-3 sportwagon. Re-Axs passive rear wheel steering is supposed to make for very tidy handling.
