Er, a very expensive road tax day if you pick it up on the 31st and you are only one month off the reg change ... but then a month of open top motoring in the summer makes it worthwhile to not wait for the change I would guess.
Otherwise, what the Prof. said I would imagine. If you or the Mrs. have not driven a Saab top end turbo vehicle before you may find the low rev torque gets you moving faster than you would imagine without realising what has happened. It took me several weeks and a couple of surprises (at relatively low speeds and not pushing things) before I adjusted the the difference between my previous 3ltr engined cars and the 2.3 HOT Aero in my 9-5. I would imagine the 2.8 Aero 9-3 will have similar traits.

The 2.8 Turbo is a cracking engine. We have it in the Vectra VXR. Run it on Super Unleaded if you can and just wait until it gets to around 7K miles. I was advised to really excersise the engine in the first 4K miles if I wanted it to be a quick car and I can confirm it is.
Our's is going next week to be replaced by a Boxster but there is no way in a straight line that the Boxster would have a chance of getting close to the 2.8 Vectra.

Err I would be rejecting that straight away. There is a huge difference in performance between the 2.8 and the 1.8.
saab have been contacted & they are arranging OUR car to be delivered ASAP
but she is rather pi$$ed off
in the mean time she will have to make do with it as the alfa gt is gone
