buying advice 9-3 convertible

valve stem oil seals can be a big issue... will cause blue smoke on startup which makes you believe the turbo is knackered.
the leather interiors are also pretty pants.... worst quality leather i've ever had.
very comfy car though...
chopped mine in for a lotus elise sport 160... far more sensible as a daily driver!

the turbo will probably need looking at at 80,000 miles. my brother bought a saab turbo and the turbo blew after a week, he managed to get one for £450 and fit it himself.
you should check the roof works on these cars, as mine has had numerous problems. manuals are better than autos and avoid the sensonic at all costs. i disagree with the leather comment, i have a n regd saab cabriolet and the leather still is looking good and no lines in it.
my car was great up to 100,000 miles.
