saab 9-3 conv speakers question

Hi Guys,

I recently upgraded the head unit in my car to an Alpine 9853r with ipod link. I am happy with the unit but the speakers now seem a little inadequate. Has anybody got any recommendations for upgrades? I dont want to start chopping lumps out of the interior so want ones which fit the standard holes.

Its a 1999 model by the way

Sorry - have no advice on speakers - bit would like to know how you fitted the unit itself - I have a 9-3 convertible and an i-Pod???

Hi Prof,

The fit was very easy, The connections are all universal at the rear of the unit so unplugged one and fitted to the other. I used an elk parts adapter to give a cubby hole where the large saab unit was removed. Nice cup of tea provided a link on a previous thread of mine where i asked for help but i'm not a computer teccy so hopefully he will come along again soon to provide again!

if someone can tell me how to post up a picture in laymans terms I could show you the finished result.

I got the unit from www.caraudiodirect.com £100 cheaper than Halfords!
