And to top it off, it's one of those ultra-rare 2.3 litre turbo c900's ...
I noticed that! Says 2.0 in the title though. Don't think it was possible to transplant the 2.3 in was it. Seem to remember that it was because it was only available in the 9000, so it was transverse flavour. I guess more would have done it otherwise. Guess it must be possible to bore/stroke the 2.0 block...
I have to say that I rather like cirrus white c900s with aero kit. My dad's first saab (87 900i) was a 5 door in cirrus white Interior sounds a bit full on though...

Oh, you can stroke it alright but then you'll be running out of sump clearance. And as the sump is the top of the gearbox casing, it'll be a question of grinding out material, thereby weakening the gearbox casing which already seems to be made out of Plasticine, or putting a spacer between block and gearbox with a nice scoop on the bonnet because now your engine doesn't fit beneath it...
It's been done in Sweden with normally aspirated 900's however, 94 x 90 mm gives something close to 2.5 litres... 't Will definitely become a low-revving stump-puller however, not much use when you already have a blower and a driveline that doesn't take too kindly to lots of brutally produced low/midrange torque...

No.
In the States they had a 2.1 head on the later cars (I think only the n/as) but other than that they were all 2 litres (n/a, low blow, or full turbo).
The head was different on the 2.1 engines alright (the same as found on the 1990-93 9000 2.3 engines) but that hasn't got anything to do with the increased capacity of that version obviously. The 2.1 N/A became the base engine for the US and EU marketes in 1990, only to be dropped a year later in Europe because of punitive taxes for engines over 2.0 litres in some markets (most notably Italy). Here, it got replaced by two engines: the old 2.0 16V N/A motor and a low-pressure turbo variant, essentially a Turbo 16 engine without an intercooler and APC boost control.

Hope not - means that my tin top is worth even less than I thought! Guess I'll just have it keep it then!
Only has a value if you intend to sell it.
Mine is staying with me, and if the government & environmentalists have their way in the future, it will just RIP in the back garden
Saying that, it's not far off that now, so will be taken off road soon for some much needed TLC while I drive about in a nice 150 quid T8 banger without a care in the world.
