Help! Drain holes
Discussion
We've had a couple of real downpours here this week, and this morning the floor on the driver's side of our NG900S was awash with water.
It's not coming in anywhere obvious, so I suspect a blocked drain hole, probably under the bonnet/at the front. Can any of you point me at the location of a likely suspect?

OK, different car, but on my c900 there are some pipes that drain out behind the front wheels. Park up with some lock on and have a look, they might need a bit of poking with stiff wire (one of mine was the drain hole for the cabin air intake - it blocked with leaves in autumn and then water seemed to end up in the driver's footwell by way of the ECU
Do you have a sunroof?
Are you sure it's not the heater matrix??

I think I've cracked it - there is a rubber thing referred to as the "elephants trunk" on NG900s and "Classic" 9-3s. It drains the water from the screen that goes into the gutter under the plastic bit under the wipers onto the ground through the engine bay. (I found this: www.saabcentral.com/~munki/technical/interior/drain_tube.htm on Saab Central).
Ours was full of crap and sopping wet. I've cleaned it out, and raked out as much other stuff out of the hole as I can. I'm now drying the carpets!
Will find out for sure next time I wash it! (or it rains which may be first )
As it applies to older 9-3s as well I thought it was worth posting up the details - I shall certainly check the one on both cars from time to time now!
