Daytime headlights saab 9-5
Discussion
Just upgraded a MY2000 9-5 Estate (2.3t se) to a MY2005 P-5 estate (Aero)
I thought the daytime headlight option was a good idea and set the previous car for that by inserting a fuse in the internal fusebox, as documetned in the handbook.
The handbook for the new car says the same option can be achieved in the same way (a 15A fuse installed in position 35. However, there don't appear to be any contacts behind position 35 -- the fuse just falls out!
Anyone know anything about this? Is the option not available now?

Not according to the handbook. Should be a simple case of fitting a fuse... However, I wonder whether it is not an option on cars with bi-xenon lights.
I'll ask again when I take it in to have a fault with the rear fog lights sorted out. The fogs lights come on whenever the headlights are on, and stay on regardless of the position of the switch. The indicator light on the dash follows the switch position, so I presume there is a stuck relay somewhere or an earth off in the tailgate.

i have xenons and if you leave the headlights on the whole lot turns off (no sidelights) when you switch off the ignition.
if you have the switch on sidelights then they stay on when you switch off...
therefore I assume Saab's idea was if you have xenons and want them on all the time, simply leave the headlight switch turned on.
