Newbie question (saab 93 starter motor)
Discussion
Er help !
Just bought a 2001 93 2.2 TiD 125ph.
Sometimes it won't turn over. Changed the battery. You can hear the starter relay click when you get to "start".
75k on the clock. So I suspect that the starter motor has a "dead patch" on it hence the intermittant not turning over.
How do I change it over the weekend - I don't have a haynes manual. Do I do it from beneath? If so which side of the car is it as I cannot see it from above.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks in advance

Hej !
To remove...
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the car.
3. Remove the cover under the drive assembly.
4. Remove the radiation guard.
5. Remove the starter motor's lower retaining bolt.
6. Remove the lower bolt of the rear strut and loosen the upper bolt.
7. Lower the car.
8. Undo the connecting cables of the starter motor and cut the cable tie around the cable bar.
9. Remove the upper retaining bolt of the starter motor.
10. Lift up the starter motor.
To fit, well, do the same but backwards...
