Re smelly air con!!!!!!
Discussion
If after checking things like filter and regas, then I would suggest getting an air conditioning sanitiser. Most large auto superstores sell them if not a SAAB dealer should be able to do it. The ones we use need to be opened inside the car with the windows up and air con on recirculate with the engine running. Leave the car to idle for 5 minutes and the sanitiser will have recycled through the pipework and filters and removed the bacteria that causes the odours.
Here's a link. Scroll down til you get to the air conditioning cleaner. £12.99

Hope this helps.

Anna,
Most peole don't use the air con function during the winter and the water inthe pipework just sits around and stagnates. Plus the bacteria that builds up from not being used.
It is recommended that air con systems should be switched on and allowed to run at least once a week to prevent this.
If you have been using the aircon regularly and it started all of a sudden then I would recommend getting it checked by a SAAb Specialist.
Let me know how you get on.

Kev
