cruel 900 owner (vid)
Discussion
Hi all, I personally love 900's, was browsing through vids and came across this, sorry if it's a repost. Not the way to treat such a great car IMO.

Not seen that before - 338bhp, that's the most I've heard of in a c900. Probably somebody on the Swedish scene.
Must have had some hefty work done under the bonnet. I am guessing it has some sort of bespoke gearbox on, no way a stock c900 turbo gearbox is going to stand up to that sort of abuse.
Intrigued by the rev counter going off the clock. Not sure what this would signify. Major engine work so raised rev limit (but raised by 2k revs!?), or if it takes its feed from the gearbox maybe its out of calibration.
As for that god awful spoiler.... and I have never understood the point of burnouts - huge stress on all components for nothing other than to wear out your tyres...

Not necessarily. If it makes 338 bhp at 8,000 rpm with no big fat hump in the torque curve low-midrange, the gearbox would be less stressed than with your usual ´crank up the boost on an otherwise standard car´ conversion running 200´ish. I am sure the gearbox would stand a pretty good chance of survival (albeit wearing much more quickly) if you put an 800 bhp, 19,000 rpm F1 engine on top of it...
Both Matt Faulks and I were c.q. are running near 300 bhp on a stock post/´91 gearbox, no casualties so far.
