I had the Aero serviced about eight days back, (I read the sticker on the door pillar). Now the SID has realised it was due and is displaying the "Time for Service" message. Onwers book doesn't say how to cancel the message. (I tried the same instructions in my wife's 900s but they didn't work)

Anyone know how to cancel it? (If not I phone the dealers on Tuesday)

Keep your finger on the clear button. It will do a general clear first followed by the service clear second

I think you have to hold it in for something silly like half a minute!

Ah! That may be it. The 900S maual said 10secs (worked on the 900S as well...). I'll go out now and try a "long push"

Sorted - it turn out to be a bit subtle:

Just pressing the clear button didn't work, even if done for minute!

Solution was:

Press clear button to clear "Time for Service" message, release, then press it again with no message showing. This resulted in the message "Cleared" after a few seconds, then, KEEP finger on button and, after a few more seconds, the message "Service" appeared. Job's a good 'un.

Aaaaah thank God for the search facility - mate was having a similar problem.

For future reference and to avoid feeling stupid, I've updated the guide on Saab Workshop
