Yes , a bit of a strange request .

Reason is , I have a driver's door for a classic 900 , I don't know whether it is for a 2/3 door car or a 4/5 door car .

There are none locally to measure and asking a car owner if I can do such a thing would look very odd .

I actually believe the door I have is for neither of the above making it either priceless or worthless .

So 900 owners ,please post up the lengths of you front door at door handle height please .

Also if you have a picture of the door with the door card removed please post it up....thanks in advance .

Thank you , just need the 4/5 door size now .....smilesmile

Scrub that , have measured my door and it is the 106 cm quoted above , so it's for a 2/3 door but I actually thought it was for something much

much more special ,the 900 CD .

After moving it for the first time in literally decades , I found a SAAB part number written on the door shut of it in marker pen .

I will try and find a source to confirm the correct fitment for it .

It doesn't have the later mirror mounting in the corner of the window , first used on the 1981 cars I think .

Part number is 6912968 if anyone has an old list or the good old microfiche .

From a 99 or very early 900 then I would suggest.

Worth a quid or two if rust free..

That's what I am hoping , it is actually a brand new unused , unpainted complete door , still in the lime green primer

SAAB used on their body parts .

It's been stored indoors for over 25 years or else it would be just scrap by now if left outside or in my damp garage .

Nice! Hope it finds a good home.

If you are on uksaabs, you can put a free advert in the classifieds - there is a section for parts for older classics.

Note you'll need 5 posts on there to be able to PM anyone interested in it..
