Hi folks,
I'm popping by later to check out this car:
http://www.manorgarage.co.uk/314saab.htm
Looks good for the price from the spec list. I'm after a cheap runabout to serve me well for a few months, and having never run a Saab before this sounds like a good start. I'm not after pure driving thrills, and as I do 80 miles a day so something a bit barge-like is not a bad thing, and the air-conditioning sounds like the icing on the cake.
It's a trade sale, so will be fully serviced and come with a warranty, so I shouldn't be too worried I guess, but are there any pointers you can offer or any general opinions on the model of car?
Thanks!

A few thoughts.
Dynamically the ng900 is not great as standard. It's based around the Cavalier floorpan and it's a safe but dull drive.
The 2.0 is gutless, I have to say, and you will get poor fuel economy as you have to wring its neck to get any power at all.
Also, the black bumpers / champagne are 2 of my least favourite features!
Having said that, as an N reg it is a later one so most of the problems will have been ironed out (some of the L/M reg ones were poor). They are very comfortable, and if this one has air con and heated seats that is great as both were only options. Velour seats are lovely too.
The price is not that great, even top spec late low miles turbos go for 2-3k, so I would say try to get in under a grand.
If it's just a motorway mile muncher and it's mint, fully serviced, and the aircon blows cold, it would be worth a punt I reckon
