Radio not working/no sound from speakers

I have just fitted the PartsForSaab AUX-in conversion kit in my 2005 9-3 2.0 Aero, but the radio is not switching on and there is no sound coming through any of the speakers.

The green centre screen for the radio/trip/clock turns on like normal as does everything else but the clock has reset and the speakers just don't emit any sound.

I have checked both the cars fuse boxes and all fuses are fine. The battery is good and I doubled check all cables were plugged in correctly before I put the head unit back in the dash after installing the AUX as per PFS instructions provided.

Could there be an issue with the amp under the drivers seat and if so how exactly do I check it?


I've aged about 2 years in the past half hour trying to figure it out.

No. I am using a Strap-On Reader but I can't find the "Add/Remove option for the aftermarket AUX.

I see you're in Berkshire - I'm just outside Thame and have a Tech-2 if you need your Aux enabling.

As for the lack of sound - maybe the fibre optic's have become disconnected?
