So I had my first test drive in a 07 plate 2.0l aero today. Been keen to get one for a while and although the power was plenty enough for me I found the ride somewhat firmer than i was expecting. Felt every bump in the road which was no different to my bog standard runaround. is this the norm for the aero?

Yes, that's normal. The standard aero suspension is known to be a bit crashy. Bilstein B6 shocks help. People also have success with Eibach springs and Bilstein B8s if a small drop in ride height is desired.

Eibachs & B8’s work well, the standard springs are prone to snapping so it’s a decent upgrade.

Thanks for the help guys. I think in this case I'll walk away but have seen a few with the bilsteins already fitted so will see if there are any in my neck of the woods.

Very nice looking car Dai.
