I have a cracked spring on the front so am considering a front end refresh. Is it better to stick to oem springs and bilstein dampers or are there some cheaper alternatives worth considering?
I dont wish to lower but just do the springs,dampers and top mounts.

Try somewhere like Neo Brothers, they’ll sell all the parts you need plus are very helpful if you wanted any advice on the best OEM/aftermarket parts to fit and what’s worth replacing while it’s in bits.

Shame you dont want to lower it, Eibach’s plus Bilstein B8’s dramatically improve the handling. Nice & progressive, not crashy but firm.

Here’s mine with the above fitted to give an idea how low it is.



If you do decide on lowering springs I’d avoid Maptun springs they’ve had a bad rep for binding, and H&R drop the car even lower than the Eibachs.
