One thing I'd add is that I'd probably get the garage to supply the parts if you're getting it done. That way they can't shift the blame if there's any issue.Add around £300 labour depending where you take it.
Or you could just not bother fix it and drive it for the next 20k plus miles like I'm doing now.

Would you only use genuine. There’s LUK ones on euro car parts. Anyone got any thoughts on their quality Add around £300 labour depending where you take it.

Thread resurrection. My 9-5 1.9 TiD feels like the DMF is on the way out. Symptoms as you described and lots of clonking through the pedal on clutch operation.I'm being quoted north of £1k for changing it (Berkshire) by mobile mechanics. Best one so far is £1440. That's 2.5 times what I paid for the car and I'm taking it as a fk off notice from the mechanic i.e. he doesn't want the job so putting a stupid quote in.
How much was yours to replace all in?
