Saab 9-3 1.9 Diesel------- blowing fumes into cockpit

I have a remapped car, 112,000
Recently cleaned ---------DPF EGRV Turbo Inlet Manifolds
Last night after a 35 mile journey, suddenly the cabin was full of diesel. It went quite quickly
Today, exactly the same as we took car to Garage for remedials.
Mechanic has taken top off, but cant see anything obvious.
Anyone on here come across the same, please ??

i understand that the flexi on the EGR cooler can sometimes fail, may be worth looking into that (it will have a webbing over it, as below)

The flexible exhaust link pipe had a small split and had strong smells in car
