9-3 - Replacement Key

Morning SAAB guys

I'm after a replacement / spare key for my 9-3

I had two originally, but one died and the wife has.... disposed of it.

So I still have one original but it's looking a little tatty & i'd like a spare anyway...

So where can I get one, how much am I looking at?

Neobrothers sell replacement new keys, you will need someone with tech 2 to programme it though!

For your tatty key, if it still works you can always just replace the outer shell and transfer the circuit board across. You can find loads on ebay/Amazon and they vary in quality/price. Try to get one that is rubber like the original. I did this as one of my keys looked like a dog had chewed on it, it took about 5 mins or less to change it over.

Make sure the car is unlocked before swapping the key case as you'll probably have to remove the key battery which might result in the key needing to be paired back to the car again.
