New suspension!

Picked car up tonight from independant.

Now I am :

minus some money

plus Bilstein dampers, Kilen springs, rear trailing arm bushes, and tweaked base boost pressure.


It's like driving a different car!!! All the crashiness has gone from the ride, it is so tight! You feel the bumps but it just doesn't unsettle the car at all. It just feels so sorted! Ride is fantastic, whether on the motorway or around town

Speed bumps are still a PITA though but worth it when you get out on the road!

Had an extensive 140 mile drive to "test" the mods this evening!

If I wasn't planning on replacing my T16S soon I'd be going down the Bilstein/Kilen road too.
Bumps & potholes don't half shatter your teeth in these old girls when their suspension has dropped

What are you replacing it with?

And if those are 16" super aeros fancy giving me first refusal on them?

Another T16S - if I can eventually tease it away from it's current owner

Yep theay are 16" Super Aeros with exposed nuts, but will have to be sold with the car as I sold the original 15" Aeros when I got the 16"s.

Let me have a think, I had thought of that when I wrote
the other reply.
One thing you should know is that I still have "winter" tyres on the front wheels - not that it is a problem (more grip), just a bit more road noise
