I'm not trying to prep the way for a sale here. I've had my Saab for 6 years now. Had it off the road for the last 4 in the garage and done a fair wee bit to it. It gets Mot'd on Tuesday.
I have a couple of folk interested in it. It is in great Nick and all original. No rust to talk about and only 66000 miles. The thing is I want to keep it but I'm after a Dolly Sprint again. I think what I am asking is....will I miss it and also regret selling it. Some say the price of these are starting to soar but I cant see it. It is on an E reg and I was thinking f I got 2500 I would be happy. What do you guys think?

You'll regret it if you sell a decent 900T vert for £2500! Prices are finally on the up and if it's in good shape you should be looking at more than double that!

I think a 900 Turbo ragtop will be a better mid to long term investment than a Dolly Sprint.

I think you guys are right. It is in great condition. Everything works from the seat belt fastener light to the Turbo gauge. It is so much fun.
I don't really keep cars as an investment. More for the enjoyment.
The Dolly was always one of my favourites when I was younger, and had a few, although only one Sprint.
Having had a wee look around there aren't many white full turbo verts about. Especially with such low miles. Looks like after it's MOT, and all going well, I'm going to enjoy the car for a while yet. Now all we need up here is some Sunshine

I thought tintop prices had long since passed that, let alone convertibles?

They seem to be in flux at the mo. A decent tin top will fetch £4k and up, with something properly mint in the £7k region I think. Carlssons and Rubys seem to be up for a lot more (2 Stroke have one at over £20k at the moment but that is mental). I do like a Carly but wouldn't pay a massive premium for what is essentially a bodykit (especially as they were dealer specials anyway and there's nothing to distinguish one that has been "made" at a later stage. Convertibles have always been at a premium so if it really does want for nothing, they OPs turbo vert could be worth £6k+

My tintop T16S is in pretty good shape but does need some tidying - agreed value of £5k at the moment.

I miss mine.

Full-fat turbo, type 8 primaries, dark grey leather.

Nice - did you add the turbo badges or is it a replacement bonnet? I think I saw it at a Kodak meet years ago.

It was a replacement bonnet from an early car - but it did have (slightly smaller) turbo badges on the original.

And, yes, it was at a Kodak or two...

I wonder if somebody added them - I just noticed because mine is an early H-plate (September 1990) and I understand the 91 model year was the changeover to "SAAB" on the wings... nerd Was yours August 1990?

It's a few years since I sold it, but I think so.

I'd never sell mine, especially for the money you're suggesting.
I'd value mine at around £6k, and my T16S at £5k.
