having spent a few days last week clearing out my spares and project cars (3 x silver aero coupes) i thought i was all set with just the black'un left as a keeper. i have storage for it so thought to just keep it for use when i'm in the UK; cheaper than renting even allowing for an annual service and MoT..

then, a (small) speculative bid on the bay of dreams saw me off to S Wales yesterday to collect a cosmic blue aero coupe. very cheap (one visit to an ATM cheap). no beer was involved. (Newport in fact; their civic centre on the hill overlooking the station is worth a quick google image)

on arrival, it appears to have been a very well looked after car, with a stamped service book up to 8k ago and many other receipts (not small bills either). arches have a few bubbles and i don't think it's getting full boost but, otherwise, it's nice. really nice. mot until october and a solid mot history when checked on-line

gave the chap a bit more as my winning bid was embarrassingly low once i saw the car

now i'm torn between keeping black'un or swapping my affections to bluey .

moth to a flame where cheap saabs are concerned

believe it or not, i have no camera and my 'phone is so old that it doesn't communicate with my computer !!

here's the link for the ad though - it's actually better than in the pictures and after a quick oil service i'm now kicking it's head in a bit and happy to report that it is getting full boost. will be tinkering with the boost request over the next few days though. :

i'm sure previous owner had it cleaned and valeted before i picked it up, cleaner inside and out than any of mine have been, overmats fitted etc. the bumper seems to have mysteriously re-fixed itself and the odd marks on the bonnet in the pics are just reflections (edit - seems they're bird poo when i look at the pic again !). wheels aren't covered in dust - they've been given a (seemingly) proper make-over in a grey-ish colour.

I had one of those until recently....

I loved it, and if I'm being honest, I preferred driving it to my current 9-5 Aero. It just seemed more fun!
In fact I've a lot of love for that shape 9-3.

your old one is almost identical to my latest, even down to the red calipers. my wheels have been redone in some gunmetal type colour but they could be twins.

i was sorely tempted when you posted yours over on UKSaabs but, at the time, wasn't looking for another. i do follow the new owners progress with it though !
