New to this site and have recently completed a performance project with my Turbo X , engine which is new was built by JB Prestige cams from Mace Engineering and the tune is JZW stage 5++ plus 19t turbo 550 cc injectors , GS downpipe forge IC . Only have 900 kms on it and will have a baseline dyno run the end of January.
Interested in other Saab owners performance upgrades and experiences.

What's the cam profile on these? I think your the first I know of to upgrade the cams with the td04 smile keen to see a 60-90 vid when it's ran in smile

How's the clutch holding up? Mine slipped straight away at JZW stage 1 but was a bit happier at stage 5. I've gone for the CG Motorsport 777 paddle kit (Heavy duty plate/ 6 paddle disk & SMF) plus the Quaife diff. The diffs made a hell of a difference. I think most go for the SPEC stage 4 clutch plus SPEC flywheel, there's also the Clutchmasters FX850 kit but it's big buck.

Have you had any throttle cut issues at stage 5? Feels like it's dumping boost early if you go WOT under 3k? John sent out another tune for the 3 bar map sensor that's meant to curr the problem but mines still there, he thinks it's a weak fuel pump so that's next on the list after the oil change & fresh plugs/112 coils! Looking at the AEM 50-1000 pump instead of another standard one.

This is gonna be a monster!

Is it possible to fit an LSD to both front and rear axles being 4WD?

My 9-5 thread may be of interest, I'm using a 19t-7 on a b234/5r http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The cams are 120 inlet and 120 outlet and 050 lift, here is the You Tube video www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGWfXUklN8A
Interested in your clutch info will follow up , I have been in contact with spec as well

I have had no throttle cutout issues as yet and I have not hit WOT as the engine is still needing Kms on it , however at idle it can run very rough will be back to JZW soon with LTFR download for him to check

The turbo X has an eLSD fitted for rear wheels only would be difficult to fit to front wheels , also will check your 95 I had a tuned 2001 95 Aero this was a monster and ate auto gearboxes ...

The CG kit won't fit yours mate it's for the Aero/Vectra VXR only. I asked them for a run of TX kits but they weren't interested. Pretty sure you've got the same clutch/flywheel as the Insignia VXR? Maybe something suitable is available from the VX tuners like Regal, Courtney or Throney Motorsport?

Mine had a rough idle with the rev1 map, took a few files to get it better.

Still does it now and again but not as bad

This was the previous performance when I installed a BSR tune in 2009 and had it on the dyno at a local Polytechnic mechanics training centre that had a AWD dyno. The BSR tune on a stock engine was easy to install very reliable and I thought good value for the extra output. Will be running my Turbo X stage 5 on a baseline dyno run in February .

Did you buy your pistons and rods from JZW? JE pistons and Pauter rods or what?
