Get a 9000 and whack a big turbo on it. 450bhp, happy days.

I loved the way my 900 ruby handled but for munching up miles etc the 9000 is more capable. So, I'd always buy a 9000 in place of a 900 but I feel your pain.

If you can't have both I would say 9000. Its a fantastic car and can be tuned very easily. I was told that gearboxes can safely handle up to 300bhp so that's where I stopped. More than enough to have fun and overtake safely.

A well sorted 900 is a lot of fun and has bags more character but the 9000 is definitely the better car to live with everyday.

My suggestion would be to drive as many of them both as you can before you buy and check thoroughly for rust as that is definitely an issue now for both cars.

If you live near Poole give me a shout.

Both great cars. Definitely get one, maybe two just to be safe.

As has been said 9000 is brilliant to go very fast. 900 is better to cross country quickly.

I love all of mine.

Both cars are exceptional for their age. 900 which I have is more engaging, better looking machine and purer Saab. 900 is just amazing value if you can get a nice one which should cost a lot less than £4k - good 900's are often twice that.

Good combo would be a 900 T16 Turbo coupe manual and a 9000 CSE Auto

I have a 900, lovely for munching up the miles, I would also love a 9000 and there is a lovely black one near me which I'm tempted to leave a note offering to buy. However, no amount of man maths will convince the Mrs, having a 900 a Motorcycle waiting for me to collect from the dealer and the fact I catch the train to work will ever justify adding the 9000.

If I was single though...

Having had both it would have to be a 9000. Get a good 'un and you'll be hooked. I have had 3 and the last 1, a '96 Aero was just wonderful. Miss it greatly!

Isn't this about a classic 900 compared to a 9000? Maybe I misread it.
