I haven't seen a thread dedicated to the Viggen so thought I'd start one:
Just wondered what owners plans were with their Viggen, of course it never sold in large numbers, 500 imported to the UK so I believe and as the years go on the rarity will increase.
I have a 99/V lightening blue coupe, no mods, 113k miles, which I use as a daily car, it's a fun drive and something different. I'm planning to keep it but have often wondered what other owners think of the car and what plans they have ie drive/store etc?

can't remember when i last saw one in the wild - there was a blue one that lived near the tolworth tower just off the a3 and i saw a silver 3 door in sunbury within the last year but that's about it recently.
having decided i can't really justify affording one my man maths tells me that it's economically viable to combine my 3 door aero with my MoT expired (but mechanically strong) St3 9-5 Aero
think i'd feel better about using the hybrid as a daily than i would using a genuine example. i don't support locking stuff away but scarcity etc would probably see me using one too infrequently
watch this space (but not anytime soon though)

There's a yellow one local to me that is hammered day in day out, goes to the same local village garage too. Well over 200k up on it and still going strong.
Regular oil changes is probably the key to longevity and i'm guessing that there really can't be that many yellow ones on the road, I'd love to see one.IIRC it's the black and orange ones that are rare - most were yellow or lightning blue. I've certainly only ever seen one black one, and that was in a dealership back in the day.
All the Saabs I've kept long enough have done mega mileages, never done anything other than service them on time. The Aeros and the like are so ridiculously understressed they'll just potter along forever.
