I'm picking up a Saab 9000 2.3FPT this friday, and I'm looking forward to taking ownership! I've never had a Saab before.

I've noticed that Saab don't seem to be very well served for after market modifications. For instance, I was hoping to pick up and after market grille for the Saab, (not one of the frankly not very tasteful grille kits), but other than OE, there seems to be no alternative.

Obviously, the orange sides will go in substitution for smoked indicators, on my metallic silver car.

Also, it was made in August 1990 and is H registered. Am I likely to be catered for by parts suppliers for this car?

All the best,

Richard

There's plenty of tuning and 'go faster' parts for Saabs but very few body modifications. It seems us Saabers like to keep things discrete.

Also check out www.maptun.co.uk

Discrete is good! I just want to "freshen" the car's appearance, whilst looking after it, that's all.

I suspect that they are street sleepers; and the local chavs won't give them a second look? More fool them lol

All of the above sell performance bits - PFS and Elk also do more normal service items.

Great choice - last of the true Saabs. I had a 2.3 FPT before the Audi. I sold it with 217000 miles on the clock and, frankly, you'd think it had done half that
