Hi guys, just wondering what performance I would get out of a bigger set of injectors and a Noobtune over just a Noobtune. Looking at the green giant injectors. I'd get them fitted when the car is in for a service and then get it remapped, I assume that there would be no issues with running it with just the injectors for a week or so. Also, if it then decide to get a 3in downpipe would I need another remap or would the Noobtune compensate?

can't remember now - which injectors does the MY05 have? is it the "reds"?

reds flow 426cc and green giants 440cc.

a 3" downpipe, 3.5bar fpr, 3bar map sensor and a cheeky noobtune takes you straight to stage 3. stock reds injectors are generally considered adequate up to about 290hp so no need to change if you're happy with a stage 3 tune.

add in a better intercooler and the GG's and 320hp should just about be possible but by now the 15T, fuel pump and probably your clutch will be preparing to throw in their towels. you will need the GG's to safely fuel upgraded turbo installs and you will need the whole lot mapped

if you can find them, some classic 900 aero's had "blue bands" fitted.they flow practically the same as green giants and trionic can adapt to them so no remap required regardless of your state of tune

generally speaking however, any hardware upgrades should be mapped in as they happen in order to maximise the benefits

stage 3 sounds like a reasonable level of power without massive outlay by the sounds of it especially if a noobtune is done rather than a maptun.

thanks for the info, lots to look at.

absolutely agree on the noob vs maptun. i've had both and was distinctly undewhelmed by the maptun considering the cost. karl is particularly good as, if you can get to him with the car, he'll do the map and then refine it on the fly and sort any snagging before you leave.

i've been looking at the "maptuner" just recently as, when you work out the price per map (it can store 3), it's not extortionate and i believe it also has a diagnostic function - i may be very wrong about that though so i'd still advise taking it to karl !!
