saab 2.8 xwd shudder

I've a 08 2.8 xwd est auto 27k miles bought a few months back
developed a slight shudder when backing off the throttle, and occasionally on very low throttle positions.
I've changed all the coil packs for the correct ones, and replaced the plugs with the correct ones, gapped suitably. this has had nil effect on the driveline shudder
for the most part, it is absent, but comes on either when you let off the throttle and coast, perhaps 3/4 seconds after getting off the throttle, or it comes on when just cruising at low throttle . it feels a little like you've run over a rumble strip for 3/4 seconds then stops.
one dealer thinks fuel pump is at fault
one dealer thinks diff is at fault
no fault codes anywhere
occasionally do get an erratic idle, not sufficient to stall, but i can definitely feel it
any ideas???
